A legacy Moloka'i coffee producer with a wide retail presence, making it a great spot to stock up on local beans for the trip home. While the farm location is more of a factory-storefront than a specialty cafe, it's genuinely good for those who want to-go bags of Moloka'i coffee and a quick, simple cup. If you're looking for a full farm tour, a polished espresso bar, or a small-lot tasting experience, this isn't it—you'll find those at more boutique farm visits.

Common questions

Visiting Coffees of Hawaii

What types of coffee does Coffees of Hawaii sell?

Coffees of Hawaii sources beans from multiple Hawaiian islands including Molokai (their home island), Kona, Maui, and Ka'u on the Big Island. Signature offerings include the Molokai-grown Kini Kini dark roast, the 100% Maui Mokha, and a Vanilla Macadamia Nut blend.

Can I buy their coffee online and have it shipped to the mainland?

Yes — Coffees of Hawaii has operated an online store since 2014 and ships beans directly. Their full range of 100% Made in Hawaii coffees is available through coffeesofhawaii.com.

What is the Plantation Store in Kualapuu?

The Plantation Store on Farrington Avenue is the on-island retail location where you can pick up local Molokai coffees and grab a bite to eat. It functions more as a farm storefront than a specialty espresso bar.

Is there a guided farm tour available at Coffees of Hawaii?

Coffees of Hawaii does not offer a structured guided farm tour experience. The Kualapuu location is a working farm and retail storefront — the primary visitor experience is purchasing beans and grabbing a cup at the Plantation Store on Farrington Avenue.

What does '100% Made in Hawaii Coffee' mean for Coffees of Hawaii?

It means all their beans are sourced from Hawaiian-grown coffee — from their own Molokai plantation and from other recognized Hawaiian regions like Maui and Kona. No mainland or international-origin beans are blended in.

Is Coffees of Hawaii a practical stop for picking up souvenir coffee?

Yes — with beans and blends from multiple Hawaiian islands, it's a convenient stop for bringing home local coffee. They sell retail bags in-store and also ship online orders, so you can place an order even after leaving Molokai.
