Coffee grows and pours differently on each Hawaiian island. These hubs gather the farms, roasters, cafes, and tours for the island — or Big Island district — you are planning around.
Big Island
The Big Island grows more coffee than the rest of Hawaii combined. The Kona belt on the west side and the higher, drier Ka'u district to the south produce most of the state's estate coffee, while Hilo and the east side add cafes and roasters more than farms.

Oʻahu
Oahu coffee discovery is split between dense Honolulu cafe searches, Waikiki visitor intent, North Shore routes, and specialty roasters locals use every week.

Maui
Maui coffee is split between a handful of working estates, on the slopes of Haleakala Upcountry and on former plantation land in West Maui, and a strong cafe and roaster scene in towns like Pa'ia and Kahului.

Kauaʻi
Kauai's coffee story is unusual. One very large estate on the sunny south shore near Kalaheo grows most of the island's coffee, and it is among the largest coffee farms in the United States, while smaller cafes and roasters fill in the east and north shores.

Molokaʻi
Molokaʻi keeps things small and slow, and its coffee is no exception: a historic plantation estate on the island's red-dirt center near Kualapuʻu anchors the scene.

Kaʻū is the Big Island's southern coffee district — lower-profile than Kona but increasingly decorated: its estates around Pāhala and Naʻalehu have taken national cupping awards over the past decade.
