The story

Hala Tree Cafe is a farm-to-cup specialty coffee shop located in Kaʻaʻawa on Oʻahu’s Windward coast. We serve 100% Kona coffee grown, processed, and roasted by our team right here in Hawaiʻi, offering a direct connection between our farm on the big island and our farm in Captain Cook. We grow, process, roast, and brew our own 100% Kona coffee, allowing us to offer a level of transparency and consistency that’s rare in Hawaiʻi. Our focus is on the thoughtful sourcing, careful roasting, and brewing methods designed to highlight the natural sweetness, structure, and clarity that Kona coffee is capable of when it’s handled with intention.
