The story

A coffee farm in Kapaʻa — that means the beans start their life in Hawaiian soil, which sounds obvious until you realize how many products labeled 'Hawaiian' contain very little coffee actually grown in the islands. That distinction is real and worth paying attention to. Beyond provenance, what the cup actually tastes like is — as ever — something you'll have to decide for yourself. I can't tell you that from here. What I can say is that farm-grown coffee from a genuine origin is, generally speaking, a more interesting conversation than whatever came out of the big bag at the supermarket. That's a low bar, I know, but it's not nothing.
