The verdict/Visitor classic·Chill·Tourists

A comprehensive stop for those who want the full 'Kona Coffee' experience in one place—free samples of various roasts, a small museum, and a walk through a lava tube on the premises. It's genuinely good for a low-pressure, educational visit where you can stock up on Peaberry beans and grab a gift shop souvenir. If you're looking for an intimate, owner-led farm tour of the rows of coffee trees, this is a more polished, visitor-center style experience and you should head to a smaller estate instead.

The story

Royal Kona Coffee has a rich history dating back to before the world knew about Kona Coffee. A little company with a big dream to market a little-known bean grown half-way up an active volcano in Kona, Hawaii, to international fame so coffee drinkers of the world could know the aloha flavor. We started with a bold promise to the first generation of Kona Coffee farmers, that we would sell all the Kona Coffee they could grow. One by one, they arrived bearing 100 pound bags of green Kona and a legacy was born. When you drink Royal Kona Coffee, you can drink the very first, the original Kona Coffee.
